Discharge From Belly Button, Blood Coming After Cleaning Deeper. Is This Normal?

Hello lately I have been having a ooze discharge from my belly button.
I decided to clean it with swabs and alcohol.
Then while I gently cleaned deeper I got a tiny bit of blood.
I assumed it's from the infection.

I left it alone.
today I cleaned again and it had more blood. Like a tiny bit more.
It's odd.

Please help

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It might be an infection in your umbilical area. If it has been happening since childhood then it can be a persistent omphalomesenteric duct. If it is a recent problem then it can be an infection. Please consult a surgeon and take a course of antibiotics. Keep the umbilicus area clean and dry.

Hope this helps
