Dizziness, Mild Pain, Fluid In Ear, Little Blood In Q-tip. History Of Being Treated For Inter Ear Problem. Advice

I've been treated for inter ear problems for 4 weeks, started with alittle pain and dizziness , took antibiotics , steroid shots, antihistamines and its alittle better. However, the PA said that's all they can do , although I'm better, still dizzy and a little pain, and feel fluid in ear, alittle blood on q-tip today? I know I haven't went deep in my ear, I only clean on the outer ear, I normally take a little tissue and wipe water out my ear and use a q-tip to swap on the inside . Have not had any problems with this before and haven't had hearing loss etc.. and I'm 47 years old . Have any ideas

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I read your query regarding little blood in q-tip during ear cleaning. Though you were taking treatment for your dizziness, mild pain and fluid in middle ear. You are being already given Antibiotics, antihistaminics and steroids.

According to your medical history it appears as you were having acute otitis media which as an complication developed to labyrinthitis therefore you became dizzy. Now the fluid of middle ear came out probably through an small perforation in ear drum, thus you saw little blood in the ear canal during cleaning.

It appears as your problem is resolving so no need for worry. All necessary medicines are already in your use, so I hope you will be alright in a weeks time.

Regards.
