Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Do GABA And L-Tryptophan Have Any Impact On The Blood Results?
Yes. I take Warfarin for A-fib. My last pro time was at 1.6 and doctor increased my meds. I forgot to tell him that about 2-3 weeks ago I started taking GABA and L-tryptophan. Now I do not know what to stop or do if the supplements caused the change. A 1.6 pro time is too thin or too thick, right?
With the Warfarin any analgesic needs to be taken with great precaution and if it is not at all indicated or not having any pathological illness then it has to be avoided (GABA) or at least it has to be discussed with the physician but in my opinion better to stop taking GABA.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain,
