Do Glimepiride, Simvastatin, Fluoxetine And Duloxetine Cause Diarrhea?

I am a 69 yr old type II diabetic. I have had bouts of diarrhea that last for a few hours every once in a while,. Could this be caused by my medications? Glimiperide, simvastati, fluoxetine, duloxetene, omeprazole, carvedilol, lyrics and acarbose at each meal. Thank you. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

To be honest any drug can cause diarrhea however its more with some drugs. In your list of drugs the drug that may causes diarrhea more often include Duloxetien, Fluaxatine, Acarbose and Omperazole.

Now it's difficult to say which may be causing your problem, so you should focus as what may be your drug. You can try stopping one of them and see if things improve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
