Do I Have Bowel Incontinence Or Diverticulosis?

I can't tell if I have bowel incontinence or my regular diverticulosis plus I have anal fissure caused from my copd . I only have the problem in the am when I have usual bm. Nothing has changed in bowel habit, color, no blood. I do use a bladder control pad if going out in am but it's because I'm very sanitary & can't stand fecal marks in panties. I've been too embarrassed to let my MD check me.

Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the problem with the involuntary muscles of the perineum.
I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms furazolidone, matronidazole, ranitidine and domperidone for 7 days.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and
protein rich food to help the repair of the gut.
Wising for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
