Do I Need A Colostomy To Be Safe Having Diverticulitis And Fistula In The Bladder?

on prednisone much of the time for copd flare ups. I now need a colostomy to provide a safe option as I have diverticulitis and, now a fistula into bladder. Surgeon counsiled me that he doesn t think a reanastomosis will heal well and I will end up needing emerg. care. Do you think any differently?

hi
I think in Diverticulitis there is no problem in anastomosis .
with preparing the colon very well and elective surgery I think anastomosis will heal well . take your chance to live normal life without Colostomy.
The Fistula in the bladder is not contraindication for anastomosis except one case :if there is abscess in the abdominal causing the Fistula.

thanx for asking
