Do I Need To Take TT If Hand Is Cut With Knife?

I had cut with knife on my left hand the day before yesterday night.
Showed to the doctor and i had 7 stitches and they have given Flomox 100mg. 1-1-1 for 4 days.
I understand doctors generally giving TT shot in addition in case of cuts with knife, blade and such sharp objects.
Any advise in this regard.

Hi, yes TT is required in case of cuts or wounds. It is necessary only if u have not taken in the previous 5 years. If u had taken in the last 5years its not required and antibiotics are enough as urs is a clean wound. Badly contaminated wounds can be given tetanus even if its given in last 5 years. Hope it helped u. Have a speedy recovery.
