Do Irbesartan And Atorvastatin Impair Muscle Strength?
I am 72 years of age, when younger I used to run quite a bit including marathons, now 20 years later and 25 pounds heavier I am starting up again, slowly, but I am tiring much too soon, I am taking irbesartan and also atorvastatin as per my Dr for high blood pressure and to lower cholesterol, could these meds be affecting my stamina ?

HI! I had gone through your question and i uderstand your concern
Yes both Atorvastatin and Irbesartan cause muscle pain , muscle weakness , tiredness ,and rare Rhabdomyolisis( damage the muscle and increase muscles enzymes )
You should check muscles enzymes (AST,LDH ,CKMB) to see your muscles condition .
Call your local doctor if your condition get worse .
