Hello,

Methadone is a fairly strong narcotic. 10 mg a day doesn't usually produce withdrawal but 10 mg 3 or more times a day does. Agitation and sleep issues are some of the milder withdrawal symptoms and would occur even with very little withdrawal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
