Do PICLIN And EVAQ Have Any Side Effects?
My daughter is 2 years and 4 months old she is having severe constipation and do not pass stools for three to four days later she passess only pallets of hard foul smelling stools 3 times a day then she stops stooling then it continues. She was examined by a paedatric surgeon and detected for ultra short segment HD and suggested to use PICLIN and EVAQ for one month. Does these two drugs solve the problem or she needs a surgery. Is there any side effects of these two drugs if used continuously for six months

In my opinion, the use of these medicines will ease your problem temporarily. But most likely she will need a surgery (Pull through procedure or in some cases sacral nerve stimulation). Of course, use of these drugs have some minor side effects like nausea, vomiting, flatulence etc. but a short term use should not cause much problem. Use of these drugs for a long period of 6 months should only be done under the guidance of your doctor.
