Do A Painless Pulsing Sensation In The Head And Dizziness Need Immediate Medical Attention?

I’ve recently been experiencing a pulsing sensation in my head that is accompanied by an increase in magnitude of my existing tinnitus. The pulses are painless, but they cause me to be momentarily dizzy and/or disoriented. At times, the sensations travel down my neck and into my arms. I’m wondering how concerned I ought to be and whether or not I should seek care urgently or if I am good to wait until I see my primary doctor in three weeks.

Hello,

You may be suffering from pulsatile tinnitus may be due to hypertension or a glomus tumour or carotid artery aneurysm or allergy etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done vestibular function tests, MRI angiogram, ECG and blood pressure examination.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
