The problem is this male has a blood clot behind his heart and has been on xarelto as u know is a blood thinner. two days before the blasting he began passing a lot of blood while passing his water. At that time he skiped a dose of blood. thinner medince.. Since he has had the stone blasted, which took place last wed. 03-01-2017, last nite 03-04-2017 the heavy blooding hss began again. Again today he skipped the blood thinner medicine. Hes telling me that the dr. that preformed the blasting, hasn t told him what to expect, that I fine very hard to believe, u know. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* When the patient is on blood thinners , ideally before 72 hours of the
procedure the blood thinner consumption has to be stopped by the
surgeon and later on patient can not take further doses until 72 hours of
the surgery as it prevents function of coagulation factors .

* May be some sort of breach in conveyance of the dosage intake or else
is responsible for the heavy blood loss , which needs to be evaluated via
thorough hematological work up and precise management .

Hope this will help to clear your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Regards .
