Do Compression Socks Help In The Prevention Of Swelling In The Legs?
I am 31 years old and diagnosed with HTN. I was started on Lisinopril/HCTZ 10/12.5 and a potassium supplement due to my serum potassium dropping. I got a second opinion from another doctor, and was told I could stop the BP med and potassium and begin to exercise and eat better because of my age. I have started a low salt diet, and my BP has been better since stopping the med, 120's to low 130's over mid 70's to 80's. I work on my feet all day, and I was wondering if compression socks would help prevent any leg swelling that may occur. When I take my shoes off in the evening, I have sock rings around my legs with swelling on either side of it.
