Do I Have To Take Cardiac Medicines Through Out My Life?
I am 52 years old lady, I had a Heart Attack 2 years ago since then i am taking Ecosprin75mg, Clopidegrel 75mg, Atorvastin 10mg and Thyronorm 100mcg, once daily all these tablets, i am keeping fine, but I wonder should I have to take them through out my life time to keep me healthy. Thank you for your advice, Sir.
Dear Sir Thanks for writing to us. Yes you need to take some of the drugs for life long. Like aspirin, atorvastatin and thyronorm need to be taken daily for life long. Clopidogrel may be stopped after sometime as decided by your cardiologist. These drugs prevent future heart attack and stroke so need to be taken continuously even if you feel well. sincerely Sukhvinder
