I GOT URINE TEST DONE TODAY. PH IS ACIDIC, SPECIFIC GRAVITY 1.015, PUS CELLS 1-2 / HPF, R. B. C. = 0-1/HPF, EPITHELIAL CELLS = FEW.



DR SAID I HAD URINE INFECTION. IS HE RIGHT?



I WENT TO CONSULT DR BECAUSE I WAS FEELING WEAK FOR LAST ONE WEEK AND SOMETIMES FEVERISH.

Hai,

with your quoted urine test report 1 to 2 pus cells commonly found in urine routine.but pus cells indicate some sort of infection.urine routine test is not a gold standard to confrim urinary infection.

urine culture will rule out clearly whether there is any infection or not.

other parameters are normal.

however,depends upon the clinical condition like fever,chills,fatigue,burning sensation in urinary tract along with any associated symptoms will give a idea about infection.

i recommend to do a urine culture to fix your problem.
