Do Seizures Caused By Head Injury Get Cured?

my son age 8 year having seizures once before 15 days. there was an accident in which he had fallen from a height of 40 feet. he has been normal since then till this single episode. I consulted the child specilist in Safdar Jung Hospital Delhi. the CT Scan and EEG repot confimed this shortcoming. the doctor periscribed the basic medicin Epiton 150 mg and told me that the child may recover this within 2 to 3 years.

Now my query is whether my child is normal or he will have to face this thing whole life.

I read your question and I understand your concern.
It is a little difficult to answer to this question since you don't say much about the report of the CT scan and the EEG.
If the CT scan doesn't show any brain damage then the chances he won't have other seizures are pretty good.
If there are brain lesions in the CT scan then there is a greater risk of him having more seizures. Of course the bigger the lesions the more there is a chance of them leaving a scar behind which could be a source of seizures.
Similarly goes for EEG the more abnormalities it has in this or future exams the likelier it is for it to persist. If no abnormalities or if in future control EEG they subside then he has a better chance.
There is no guarantee though, I am talking about percentages not about certainties. Since you say he's had only the one seizure and he is normal now, without neurological deficits, then I would estimate his chance of having no more seizures pretty good.
I hope to have been of help.
