Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Do Severe Abdominal Pain, Constipation And Nausea Need Immediate Medical Attention?
I have severe stomach pain and cramping. With that comes very forceful bowel movement attempts, that are so intense I feel like I might black out. Nausea, lack of appetite, and upper stomach pressure. Should I wait to be seen by my family physician or go to the ER
Stomach pain and vomiting may be due to infection or gastritis or peptic ulcer disease or food poisoning, etc. Constipation may be due to low fiber diet, partial bowel obstruction or electrolyte imbalance, etc. It is difficult to say what it is until examination is done.
Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast. Eat high fibre diet. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
