Do They Carry Out Urinalysis Before A Surgery?
do they test for any sort of drugs for regular urinalysis before surgery.. not a drug test just regular urinalysis with culture? I am currently on prescription for Norco.. and 2 days ago I tried a pot brownie.. I have never consumed marijuana before than.

The urine sample that we do in a preoperative evaluation is basically to evaluate the possibility of an infection , the urine analysis check for blood and bacteria and if there is any indication of infection,the sample is kept for urine culture. we do not do toxicology . Marijuana is seen in an urine toxicology.
