My daughter is 13, she has had bellyaches ever since she could talk, I've taken her to the doctor a couple of times, they say it is acid reflux . Does Acid reflux cause belly pain, I guess I always thought that was more in the esophogus area. Another sympton she has, is alot of burping. She could out burp any male around. Any adivise, I hate to have her on meds. Any natural supplements??
Acid reflux does cause belly ache. It can be due to various reasons as consumption of oily/spicy/fatty food. Give her lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Instead of hot milk replace it with cold milk. Give six small meals in a day rather than 3 heavy meals. Ask her to exercise or do a walk daily for half an hour. If the symptoms persist for long get her examined from a medical provider.
Hello.Welcome.yes she can have bellyache because of acid reflux. Most probably it is her lifestyle which is the root cause.Ask her to do regular exercises, cutting on colas and junk foods,Taking plenty of greens, fruits and water.Put her on bland diet devoid of any oil for 6 weeks. She should be alright with these. If still problem persists then consult Gastroenterologist .Good luck.
