Does Amlodipine Besylate, Hydrochlorothiazide Or Lisinopril Cause Numbness In The Breast?

I am feeling numb on my left breast and side. It started around June 20. The feeling or lack of feeling (when I touch my body I feel pressure but not the sensation of the touch) has spread down the outside of my left thigh. Could this have been caused by high blood pressure medication? I am taking Amlodipine besylate 5 mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg and Lisinopril 40 mg.

Hi,

Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, a medicine isn't going to affect Just One area. For example, hydrochlorthiazide lowers potassium and this could change sensation but it is much more common for it to affect muscle tone.

BUt either way it is ALL the muscles not just a few. The other medicines are just not likely to do that. Furthermore, medicines would generally have their effects good or ill fairly soon after starting them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
