Does Amlopres-AT Cause Dry Mouth?

I have been taking one tab 50mg Amlodipine and Atenolol Tablet since many years. Now I have started urinating every hour at night and my mouth becomes very very dry. I am a smoker since long but have cut down to 10 cigaretes now. I don't have any sugar problem. Is the dry mouth due to AMLOPRES-AT that I am taking ?

Hello,

Normally,Amlopres-AT which is an antihypertensive drug will not cause dry mouth.

I would advice you to discontinue smoking completely.

Plenty of fruits as well as multi-vitamin supplements has to be administered.

Salivary substitutes has to be administered if necessary.

Please do consult with your physician if symptoms persists.
