Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Cabergoline is an ergot derivative drug used in galactorrhoea. The drug is a Dopamine antagonist drug. The drug doesn't cause delayed periods instead it is one of a common drug used in hyperprolactine amenorrhoea. The drug helps in restoring periods. Most probably chronically elevated levels of prolactine are the cause of delayed periods in your case. Primolut or progesterone has been advised to restore periods. I would advise you to not to worry, the drug will reduce the concentration of prolactine and will improve the complaint of delayed periods.

Thanks, hope this helps
