Hello , my mother started taking cefpodoxine , she has dementia , less than two days her left side is like she has had a stroke , ct scan , blood work and x rays all came back ok , in hospital now , so does this med cause this and if so , will she get heft movement back on her left side ? The Dr. seems to think she my be allergic to it
Hi dear, Drug allergies are unlikely to present as hemiparesis. This is more likely cerebrovascular in origin. if no infarct or haemorrhage is not seen in imaging, recovery can be expected.
