Does Clinoril Cause Connective Tissue Issues?

I was prescribed sulindac, or clinoril, by military and VA doctors for a total of approx. 25 years. I started having connective tissue issues in blown quad ligaments in both knees, hip and shoulder issues. My ortho doctors told me that the clinoril could have very well been the cause. I have also developed hypertension issues in stress/tension headaches over the last 10 years or so. I am retired and have no stress or tension issues to cause these. could these also be related to the clinoril (note that I have stopped taking the med since the ortho docs informed me of the possibilities).

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are no promising evidences of connective tissue issues on a large scale study, but still it can be possible according to the individual body response to the same. The high BP is definitely in concern with the side effect of Clinoril.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
