Does Cortisone Shot Reduce The Efficacy Of A Flu Shot?

I had a senior flu shot on the morning of October 19th. That afternoon, about 2 hours later, I had my right knee asperated to reduce fluid build-up from a September 22nd scope surgery. The PA also gave me a cortisone injection at the time to reduce further swelling. I didn t know to tell her that I just had had a flu shot. Will this negate my flu shot? What should I do now?

hello,
i can understand your concern.
you need not worry about the efficacy of the flu shot. Taking a steroid injection will not have any decrease on the efficacy of the flu vaccine. all it does mask some side effects like pain if at all present.
rest stay assured, you will have total efficacy of the flu shot.

Hope this helps. Have a nice day
