Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For several months, I have been getting goosebumps on head, arms and legs...it comes often, even when I am not cold. The bumps seem to flush over my skin and go away quickly. I am 57, female...in good health although I have an anxiety disorder for about 7 years. Never had this goosebumps thing before though. I did switch from lexapro to cymbalta in January. Could cymbalta be causing this?
I can understand your concern. You are a 57 years old female with history of anxiety disorder since last 8 years. You are on Cymbalta (Duloxetine) now and previously you were taking Lexapro or Escitalopram. The reasons for goosebumps you are having can be relapse of anxiety symptoms or mild withdrawal of Lexapro. In my opinion wait for some time, relax yourself and if symptoms don't reduce by own visit a psychiatrist for proper treatment.
Thanks, hope this helps you
