Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had Angina the first time I injected Forteo. Though some physicians wanted me to quit, some did not think Forteo was the cause. Eight months later, last week, again to the emergency with chest pain. The end result: A surgeon found one artery in my heart was 99% closed. A stent was put in the heart artery. Doctors want me to stop taking Forteo. In the meantime: 10 months ago, I had 4 fractured vertebras due to Osteoporosis and long steroid treatment for Colitis. My bone were at risk for more fractures. Yet, since I took Forteo for 8 months now, my bone density test revealed a 11% improvement for the first time! What am I to do? I will see my Primary Dr tomorrow, but would like your view point. Thank you!!

You can use bisphosphonate injections like alendronate or risedronate according to your body weight. Bisphosphonate is useful in steroid induced osteoporosis.
