Does Fossamax Taken For Osteopenia Contribute To Weight Gain And Does It Really Improve Bone Density?

I have osteopenia in both my hips and lower spine and have been taking Fossamax for several years. At what point should I stop taking it? My weight has gradually increased during that time I feel Fossamax is contributing to this? What evidence is there that this drug does improve bone density and over what period of time?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
If you have doubts for this drug then I would advise you to get done the test to confirm the density, I think the role of this drug for this is doubtful, so in my opinion it is better to stop the drug, take care and have nice day.
