Does HCG Levels Of 175 During Pregnancy Mean Low ?
Wondering about hcg levels when pregnant. The day I was suposed to start my period my hcg level was 175 I rwad up some and it seems real normal but the er doctor w as telling me it was low. .. so now I'm concerned...I get more blood work tomorrow..mabe he didn't know what he was talking about??
Hi, The levels of hCG depend on the age of gestation and also the presence of a single or multiple pregnancy. More than the single value, it is the rising titres, in fact, doubling titres every 2-3 days, that is more important to understand the progress of the pregnancy. Any value above 5 is considered positive, but the values are usually around 200-300 at 4 weeks and your values seem good for that age. You can also couple these with serial trans-vaginal sonograms to monitor the situation. Hope this helps.
