Does HIV Cause Cold And Sore Throat?

hi 2 months ago I got tested and I got HIV , I still didin t get treatmant now I think i have a cold runi nose , stuffy nose, no feever , and I lost my voice (well not compleatly ) but it s 4 days and I can t talk like before , I don t have sort troth , Do you think this is because of hiv , Is my voice will come back ??

HIV causes general symptoms like fever, running nose , so HIV can't be judged by symptoms. I guess you have to go a nearest Govt health facility where your HIV could be confirmed by retesting and if found positive , your CD4 cells will be counted as only those HIV + patients having < 350 CD4 cells/ mm3 in their blood can be given anti -HIV medicines. Your voice problem is a temporary one which has happened due to cold . Just gargle with hot saline water or hot water with one tab of Disprin dipped into it. Rest assured your voice problem will be alright. Hope this helps. Regards

Hi, you ate hiv positive then its high chance that you get infected and sore throat and cough may be consequence of your low immunity. It may be due to hiv. But go to the doctor and take treatment. Don't worry about your voice. It will come back after infection. And go for cd4 count and take treatment of hiv accordingly.
