Does Indomethacin Cause Breathing Difficulty And Swollen Abdomen?

I have been prescribed indomethacin for pleurisy and I am having a very hard time breathing especially when I lay on my back and talk. I cough and am short of breath with a very swollen abdomen and headache. Am i having an allergic reaction to the indomethacin?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
If you suspect indomethacin allergy, rush to your hospital and start on antihistamines like pheneramine and also get a steroid shot.
Andominal distension is not suggestive of allergic reaction and could be due to gastritis and bloating.
You can take pantoprazole omeprazole for symptomatic relief.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks
