Does Lyme Disease Cause Joint Pain And Recurrent Body Rashes?
I have been dx’d With seronegative poly arthritis. I just believe it’s not an accurate diagnosis. Have been on a plethora of meds and none have gotten rid of my hand swelling. I have hives that come and go. When I get hives the inflammation and pain worsens. I was bit by a tick shortly before all of this began. I am currently on day 12 of 30 of Doxycycline. Would I know by now if it’s actually Lyme? Could this be a food allergy. It’s widespread joint pain that comes-and go’s. Symptoms started roughly 2 years ago. At one point my SED rate was 183!!! Lower now, but still suffering Please help!!!!

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Usually all ticks wont carry Lyme's bacteria.
Generally, the tick must remain attached for at least 36 to 48 hours before transmitting the bacterium into a human.
As a result, the risk of getting Lyme disease from a tick, even where ticks are 1.2-1.5%.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Usually all ticks wont carry Lyme s bacteria. As a result, the risk of getting Lyme disease from a tick, even where ticks are 1.2-1.5%. So you have to recheck for other possibilities like: 1. Vit D deficiency. 2. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. 3. Polymyalgia rheumatic 4. Seto negative arthritis. 5. Hypothyroidism. 6. Fibromyalgia. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
