Does Meropenem Help Cure Rashes On The Skin?

My sin is on IV Meropenem. He says on his face he feels as if there is air under his skin and it feels sticky. He had a problem on his chin before he started the antibiotics but now when he gets hot and breaks out it feels like this is going around his mustache, under his beard and starting on his neck. I do not see a rash. Could this be a reaction?
