Does Metamucil Cause A Bump In The Pubic Area?

I have noticed the appearance of what looks like a hernia in my pubic area in the evening -- two evenings in a row -- that disapperas by later in the evening. It occurs after eating dinner. Just before eating dinner, I take a teaspoonful of Metamucil (on 8 oz. of water). The bulge seems to be inflared by gas when seems to reduce when squeezing it. Could this be an allergic or other reaction to the Metamucil?

Hi,

The lump in the groin is not related to Metamucil and may be due to something else.

It could be a swollen lymph node or an abscess if the lump persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
