Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed the appearance of what looks like a hernia in my pubic area in the evening -- two evenings in a row -- that disapperas by later in the evening. It occurs after eating dinner. Just before eating dinner, I take a teaspoonful of Metamucil (on 8 oz. of water). The bulge seems to be inflared by gas when seems to reduce when squeezing it. Could this be an allergic or other reaction to the Metamucil?

Does Metamucil Cause A Bump In The Pubic Area?
Hi, The lump in the groin is not related to Metamucil and may be due to something else. It could be a swollen lymph node or an abscess if the lump persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
