Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My doctor put me on metformin and clomid for PCOS. My question is, can I take both meds at the same time? Since I m taking the clomid days 3-7 days of my cycle, I m not sure when to restart my metformin. So, I started it again on day three of my cycle along with my clomid. Help please. I m trying to follow instructions, but, wasn t told when to start/stop the metformin when my cycle started, since I was on it before my cycle began this month. (This month being the end of December) Please help.
Metformin is a quite safe medicine that puts hormones back toward normal. It doesn't have much interaction with clomid and often doctors try everything all at the same time for PCOS (weight loss, hormonal intervention, metformin, etc.).
