Does Millipred Make Toddlers Hyper Active?

Can millipred in toddlers make them more so hyper than sleepy. My 2 year old wAs diagnosed with croup. And millipred is what was given for her. Now she is not sleepy and very active at almost MIDNIGHT. WONDERING IF I should lessen her dosage next time or give to her earlier. Way earlier before bedtime

Hello. Thank you for your question. Yes, one of the potential siiide effects of millipred is hyperactivity. Giving the dose earlier should be helpful. Keep in mind, however, that the number of days the medication is needed to treat croup is limited. The sooner you can stop the medication, the better. I recommend consulting with your doctor regarding the apporpriate time to atop the medication..
