General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Mononessa is a combined oral contraceptive . Needs to be taken as per instructions at a fixed time of day without a break. It is also known to cause unusual bleeding patterns ...& you got profuse bleeding within less than a month consumption. You should consult your gynecologist if the bleeding is too much or it does not stop in 5-7 days.( as you had started it for delaying periods... possibility of pregnancy before starting the pills followed by abortive bleeding is possible. Thanks.
