Does NAC Supplement Help To Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I just purchased a dietary supplement called NAC because I have RA which depletes gluthathione. I take many supplements for the past year and have managed my RA pretty good. I did not consult with my PCP. Would I be okay to try this supplement. I bought at Swanson Vitamins. Thanks!

Hello,

N-acetyl cysteine is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. NAC and other antioxidants results in improvements of their individual effects on the suppression of arthritis.

Antioxidants are what the body uses to repair and heal from such conditions as arthritis.

The recommended doze is 250 mg of N-acetyl-cysteine once in the morning.

Kind regards,
Dr.mersila
