Does Panadol And Codine Has Any Side Effects?
I have been diagnosed with bipolar, which one I don't know.
I think it is a load of hogswash, but my husband has been convinced by the doctor that I am manic.
Truth is he seems to be acting outside his scope of the normal right now and is extremely depressed.
I have been advised to take Apo-Lorazepam at night when needed
And
Epilim 200 1 at bedtime and then 2 twice a day after 5 days.
I have had a fall earlier this year which almost killed me, and then we were not sure if I would walk or keep my leg due to infection.
I had a skin graft after 3 solid weeks of antibiotics and still have back pain, which was presenting in my left rotator cuff and right wrist.
I have been on a cocktail of pain killers and have found that panadol with codine helps,
Please give me some advice on these two medicines.

I understand that you would like to more about the pain killers - Panadol and Codeine. Panadol (Acitaminophen) is a widely used analgesic (pain killer) and anti-pyretic (fever-reducer). It is a mild pain killer and is relatively safe compared to others. But excessive or chronic intake of Panadol can cause long term side effects like stomach ulcers, kidney problems, etc. Codeine is a pain killer belonging to a category called opioids. Now, opioid pain killers have to be used with caution because they have an addiction potential, if taken for long periods of time.
If you are taking pain killers frequently or for a long period of time, then it is always advisable that you do so under the supervision of a doctor.
With regards to your diagnosis of Bipolar disorder, Epilim (Valproate) is a mood-stabilizing medication and it is advisable to take medication regularly in order to prevent relapses.
