Does Prednisone Cause Allergic Skin Rashes?

Yes I started breaking out in hives about 4 months ago and last month was the worst I have ever seen and the pain was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I am on prednisone plus zurtek. It seems I break out the worst around my period. Could this be releated to hormones more than an allergy

Hello.The Prescription of Prednisone is right.What dose of prednisone are you taking?.The usual dose is 30 mg per day but in severe allergic reactions the
dose may be increased to 70-80 mg per day.
Go to your doctor to regulate the dose.
