Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Primolut Nor tablets contain the active ingredient norethisterone
It is a synthetic hormone similar to the naturally occurring sex hormone, progesterone. Primolut Nor is used to treat a wide range of menstrual disorders.
The known side effects of it include: Visual disturbances, Nausea, Headache, Migraine, Oedema, Dyspnoea and Urticaria.
It is not known to cause weight gain and water retention.
It might be due some other hormonal disturbance, which needs evaluation.
Hope the information provided is useful.
