Does Progynova React With Coffee And Induce Allergic Hives?

hi I drink lots of coffee every day, I have been on HRT for 1 yea, been using Progynova 2mg once a day, last week I switched to Estrace 2mg, after a week and all of a sudden I woke up with severe Hives, itchiness, and I had to go to Urgent Care to get Steroid pills, I stopped taking Estrace 3 days ago but Hives still showing every time I drank coffee, please advise, I never had any problem earlier combining Progynova with coffee, thanks

Actually, there is no serious interaction that occurs when you combine Progynova (Estradiol) and coffee (caffeine). However, the rash you feel may have caused by the following possibility:
• The substitution of HRT
• Allergic to Estrace
• Allergic to coffee

Now that you still had hives stop using Estrace. I also suggest you to stop drinking coffee for a while and take Cetirizine to reduce the hives. Make sure you keep your house clean from every dust, mite, since this may cause by a parasite's infection.
