Hi,

I can understand your concern for Postherpetic neuralgia which is really very painful and troublesome condition in most of patients.

Qutenza contains capsaicin 8% patch which is only a counter irritant to reduce the senaation of patch and is not a long term therapy or curative therapy for Postherpetic neuralgia.

In my patients I treat them with either amitriptyline, gabapentin, and pregabalin in neuropathic pain as main course of therapy.

Additionally tablet cyanocobalamine is also quite effective and can be taken for long time.

All the best.
