Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi i am 23 years old girl.....i am taking R-Cinex tablet from 15 days as i am suffering from TB....my hair are lossing so much day by day......i have noticed that i have an hair fall problem after i started taking thais tablet....so please suggest me what should i do?
R-Cinex tablet contains both Isoniazid and Rifampicin which is a combination medicine used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It prevents the growth of the microorganisms that cause the infection. Hair fall is due to chronic infection like TB. Again there is relation between hair fall and anti-tubercular medications.
The drug Isoniazid component of these medications may cause hair fall or alopecia. It will reverse and become normal once medicine course is over and stopped. Lack of nutrition is commonly found in patients with tuberculosis which can trigger hair loss too. You can consult with dermatologists for your hair and he might give you solution in this regards.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
