Does TMJ Cause Pain In Neck & Jaw?

Hello... For the past several years I get an intense pain in my neck on the left side right under my jaw. It is an intense pain and feels like something is popping out of place. Two times I have passed out due to it. I have gotten a CT and ultrasound of my neck and cartoid artery and both came back normal. I have TMJ on the left side of my neck.. do you think that could be the reason? Whenever I get sick I have always violently thrown up, could that have messed something up? THanks
