Does UTI Cause Chest Pain?

I have a uti and started bactrim yesterday. I have started to have chest pain and pressure of 5/10 for the past hour. I am 32 and healthy and only take synthroid. I cannot reach my PCP. Should I go to the ER? I am due for my next dose. Should I take it?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your anxiety.
UTI and Bactrim, are highly unlikely to cause chest pain.
The pressure reading you've written is erroneus,if you meant blood pressure.
If your chest discomfort doesn't reduce at all, you're advised a visit to ER.
Drink 10-12 glasses fluids daily. Your urine culture should've been done.
Take the full course of Bactrim for a week.
If you've any doubts, send the reports to me,as a direct question.
Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
