Does UTI In A 7-month-old Infant Pose Any Risk For His Life?

my 7 month d baby boy has uti his pus cells is in range 6-7 doc has given antibiotics its more than a month he is suffering from this desease.i am so scared .when he will be ok.is there any risk for his life.he cry so much before urinating.whar r the causes if uti.

Hi,

There is no risk to the life of the baby, but if this infection is present for the last one month even after giving antibiotics, you need to do some testing like urine culture and sensitivity, ultrasound abdomen and MCU to know the exact cause of the infection.
