Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am on gabapentin300 following knee replacement. I have taken 20 of the 30. I have had flu like symptoms for four days which I feel is the flu. Because I also had a sinus infection I was on a Z Pack. Are there any dangers here. I really do feel I have flu.
There are no known interactions between z pack (azithromycin ) and gabapentin so they can be safely used together without a problem due to the combination.
Azithromycin is commonly used for respiratory tract infection so it should help with your sinusitis if there is a bacterial infection present.
I hope this helps
