Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Zetia Cause Side Effects Similar To That Of Rosuvastatin?
I am a retired urologist since 2016, 88 years of age, with a recent stent procedure in 2 coronary arteries. Otherwise I am in excellent health, work out 5 days a week. I started to take ROSUVASTATIN and promptly had a marked rash, pruritus everywhere, and a florid extrusion of seborrheic keratoses. Stopped statin. Somewhat better now. Is ZETIA likely to cause similar side-effects ?
It is very uncertain for the drug to say about the hypersensitivity depends upon subjects or patients sensitivity and in practical it can only be proved when administered the particular drug else every pharmaceutical molecule may induce the hypersensitivity one has to give the trial to confirm it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
