General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes, Zoloft causes loss of memory (amnesia). Zoloft is an anti – depressant. Most anti – depressants have a depressant effect on our nervous system. So you might feel confusion, sedation, loss of memory and tired. But these are not permanent. This is absolutely normal while using Zoloft. There is no need to investigate it. Once you stop taking Zoloft, your problem of loss of memory will resolve.
Advice
1.     Continue medicines as suggested by your doctor
2.     Do alter dose of medicine by yourself unless suggested by your doctor
3.     Keep a note of everything. Note everything in a diary
4.     Drink coffee and caffeinated beverages. It will provide you alertness
Thanks
